Shalom Center Short Course

This 5-week Shalom Center course explores the world’s perennial wisdom by using selected sacred texts from Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, Confucianism, and Taoism.  It meets weekly for five weeks on Monday afternoons from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm in Rm 1, Pleasant Hill Community Church. Participants need a copy of Rabbi Rami's World Wisdom Bible: A New Testament for aGlobal Spirituality available on Amazon for $13

Mark Canfield, PhD, is a resident of Uplands Village, and a retired community college sociology professor from Maryland.  He has been a mediator and pastoral counselor, and in his early sixties, became an ordained minister with the United Church of Christ. He is very interested in what the world’s religions share in common as a way of fostering inter-faith dialogue.  This will be the sixth short course on Spirituality he has taught for The Shalom Center.
